In this beginning of the year Ralston & Bau has been asked to apply profiling designs on a series of small communication tools, such as cups, t-shirts and banners for the fair stand of Driftig.no Sogn og Fjordane’s Internet platform for education and businesses. The profiling of a company is only as strong as the coherent application that is made of it. Therefore we like to make the most of these communication tools. We consider them an opportunity to enrichen the initial design. Driftig.no will be present at carrier fairs all over Norway during 2010. The first date is in Oslo the 1st of February, (where you can also find Transplant represented), then in Trondheim the 11/02 and in Bergen the 16/02.

On a beautiful autumn day the 23rd of October, the Vestnes Group, providers and producers of maritim interiors and furniture, arrived at Transplant by yacht from Florø, for a strategic workshop coached by Ralston & Bau. During the two days session, the mission was to develop the future vision of the holding.

Transplant is a unique place to hold your meeting/conference. Situated on the edge of Dalsfjorden, the beautiful view makes for a calm atmosphere in order to both study and educate. We cater for any type of get-togethers, be it informal kick-offs or formal board meetings. Ralston & Bau designed Transplant, a new Norwegian innovation and design center in Dale i Sunnfjord, which opened in August 2007. The building itself was developed by the former Renzo Piano architect Attila Eris who also designed the Paul Klee center in Bern, Switzerland.

The building
Ralston & Bau designed and developed the concept of Transplant, the interior of the building, the facade and the visual identity.

Paper wall
Ralston & Bau worked together with Duralmond, a Spanish based company, on the design and development of the facade of Transplant. It is inspired by stacks of paper and was designed exclusively by Ralston & Bau and for Transplant in 2006.

Think & Share
Transplant is a platform where design, art, music and new materials work in unison. This is a space for freedom of thought, experimentation and adventures involving all human senses in an unique surrounding. Ralston & Bau incorporated three wings into the design of the building, each around 200m2, to represent each aspect of their dream idea factory: one wing is to think, another one to experiment and share, and a final wing to shape.

Fjaler Næringsutvikling (Fjaler business development) asked us to create their new visual identity in 2006. Three years later a new FNU brochure followed, listing all companies that are located in the Fjaler municipality.
